ATaC now issuing Asbestos Analyst and Surveyor CSCS Cards
Today ATaC announced that asbestos analysts and surveyors can now obtain CSCS cards from the Association, under the ARMI Skills Card Scheme.
Physical and Virtual Smartcards now available through the Association
ATaC is pleased to announce that asbestos analysts and surveyors can now obtain both temporary red cards and Academically Qualified Person (AQP) white cards from the Association, as it is operating the ARMI Skills Card Scheme under licence from CSCS.
ATaC is now accepting applications, from employers and individual asbestos analysts/surveyors, for temporary (red) cards and 5-year AQP white cards. To apply for an ATaC ARMI Skills Card applicants will need to prove they have the qualifications required for that particular card.
The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) set the specification for industry card schemes carrying the CSCS logo, under which the ARMI Skills Card Scheme was approved as a nationally recognised scheme, enabling the use of the CSCS logo. Following this the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) and Asbestos Testing and Consultancy Association (ATaC) successfully completed an audit, confirming compliance with the CLC requirements.
“I’m pleased to say that from today, ATaC is able to issue CSCS cards to support our members gain access to many construction and demolition sites,” stated Stephen Platkiw, ATaC Manager.
“As well as physical smartcards, virtual smartcards can also be issued to applicants, at no additional cost, which will enable the cardholder to store their card on an app on their smartphone or tablet.”
