ARCA and ATaC members raise funds to support Mesothelioma UK
This year members supported the ARCA Charity Week, raising over £5,500 for Mesothelioma UK.
During this year’s Charity Week, ARCA staff and members got involved in various events and activities, raising over £5,500 for Mesothelioma UK.
Funds were raised by taking part in; paintballing, a three-peak challenge, nuclear running events, hula hooping marathon, and there was lots of baking and eating.
The Association supports Mesothelioma UK - a national resource dedicated to supporting people with this asbestos cancer, providing specialist Mesothelioma information, support & improved care and treatment.
“Thank you to everyone who took part in the Charity Week and to those who donated. These funds will continue to support the vital work the charity undertakes to help asbestos cancer patients, and in particular Mesothelioma clinical nurse specialists at NHS hospitals across the UK,” commented Steve Sadley, Chief Executive of ARCA.
“We hope that all of our members had fun whilst raising funds for this charity.”
Liz Darlison, Mesothelioma UK Head of Services, commented, “We are extremely grateful to everyone who took part in activities to raise funds for our charity again this year. This funding initiative provides a great opportunity for raising awareness, which is so important, and will help us to continue the work that we do in supporting people affected by Mesothelioma across the UK.”
