The HSE has today published the following guidance with regards to waivers of the 14 day notification period for asbestos notifications during the COVID-19 crisis.

Waiver requests for urgent or essential work are being dealt with in the usual way. Once the ASB5 has been submitted with the "Waiver Request" box ticked, this should be followed up by sending a copy of the ASB5, a plan of work, and a letter from the client explaining why the work must be carried out, to the relevant email address as listed in the guidance on waiver requests on the web communities forum.
