Association supports safe asbestos management

ATaC, the Asbestos Testing and Consultancy Association, is pleased to announce attendance at the Contamination Expo Series 2017 to be held at ExCel London.

The Contamination Expo Series was launched last year to tackle solutions to contamination across six sectors, including hazardous waste.

“The Contamination Expo last year was a successful event for ATaC,” commented Stephen Platkiw, the ATaC Manager. “I was delighted to see so many event visitors attend our seminar, as it is so important that our message of how to manage asbestos safely reaches as many people as possible who are responsible for managing the risks from asbestos.”

“We will be attending the event again this year <stand C7180> to continue communicating how crucial it is for duty holders, such as property owners and facility managers, to understand their legal duties and responsibilities for managing asbestos in buildings. It is for the health and safety of all workers and the general public.”

“We are delighted that ATaC is joining Contamination Expo Series again this year,” stated Daniel Rogers, Event Director of the Contamination Expo Series. “The event attracts visitors from a number of different sectors. As asbestos, can be found in many buildings [whether schools, hospitals, shops or business premises] and in the ground, it could affect all of these sectors, so they need to understand how to safely manage the risk of asbestos.”

This year, due to the expansion of the event, it is to take place on the earlier dates of 27th and 28th September 2017. Entrance to the exhibition will be free (tickets can be ordered on the event’s website) and will feature free to attend seminars.
